“Post No Bills” is a common prohibition in many U.S. cities. Despite how convenient it is to put up a “lost dog” or “garage sale” flyer on your local telephone poles, it’s illegal in many communities because of the damage (and unsightliness) caused.
To paraphrase Doc Brown before he left for Changchun, “Rules? Where we’re going, we don’t need rules.”
Sure there are a few, sort-of official places where you can post your ads around the neighborhood. Like this one:
But where would be the fun in that?
Oh, look! There’s a telephone pole!
That window looks like no one is using it!
Wait! There’s a gate going into that garden!
What? This is the front wall of a restaurant? Sounds like a perfect place for my ad!
