You guessed it, dear reader. It’s time once again for another episode of Snack Food Reviews. From the joys of Thin Tiramisu Oreos to the horrors of Turkey Cheetos, The Bearded Giant is eating his way through the wonders of his local convenience store and bringing you along for the ride.
Next up, we have Pringles Tomato flavor:
I have had tomato snacks before, including having tried Ketchup flavored potato chips. So I was expecting a moderate success with these. Potatoes and tomatoes just go together after all.
On opening the can, I felt a twinge of fear.
Some settling may have occurred during shipping, indeed…
That’s immediately after opening, and the can looks half empty. Plus I don’t recall it being that easy for Pringles to turn sideways in the can. Usually you have to work at it. They do have a pleasant red tinge, so maybe the taste will be okay.
Nom nom nom nom nom nom nom nom.
I forgot to start my stopwatch, but I believe the can lasted around 2 minutes and 10 seconds before it was empty.
The tomato flavor is just right. Not so heavy that it wipes out the flavor of the chips (I am still looking at you, Fake Grape, your misdeeds will not be forgotten). But just enough flavor that it doesn’t feel like an afterthought.
If you think you might like Tomato flavor Pringles, you’re right. You will. Because these are done about as well as they should be.
B+, oh white-faced mustachioed one.
